Hey everyone, it’s time to dig out those rare and rarely heard tapes we all have hidden away. I’d like to make a few suggestions.
Let’s try and get some demos from local bands from YOUR area that have either been forgotten or just plain overlooked. Unknown stuff is usually exciting to discover. All bands rule though, even the BIGGEST band made demos at some point.
Live stuff should fit into one of two catagories: 1) good to great quality recordings or 2) ultra RARE!!!(therefore, poor quality could be tolerated)
Tapes without covers (I have a TON of them) should be accompanied by some sort of band photo/art work or logo.
OK, enough of my jabbering, as the 2LIVECREW would say:
LET THE BEATINGS BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!

For some reason I can’t get my post to take, even though I’m logged in. Any Ideas? Oh well, here is my post for the L’INCUBO CONTINUA tape:
I just down loaded this, but I have to go to work so I’ve only been able to listen to about a third of it. So, far I like what I’ve heard. This really reminds me of the BCT tapes. I really like the Obiezione tracks the best out of what I’ve listened to so far.

Also is there an RSS feed for comments?
July 15th, 2006 at 2:18 am
THIS IS GOOD!!!! WE NEED TO KEEP THE OLD RARE STUFF IN CIRCULATION OTHERWISE IT WILL EVENTUALLY BECOME EXTINCT.

Im sorry, I cant seem to find where the download link for the music is… It says

July 15th, 2006 at 8:14 pm
I am unable to open the downloads as well. Also, a silly question, once I download what do I need to “open” the file, how do I unzip, I guess. Thanks, I’ve never downloaded zipped files before. Thanks for any help, also I hope someone out there has a copy of “America’s Dairyland” I have been looking for it for quite a while now.
July 15th, 2006 at 8:34 pm
Downloads not working here either. Also one question, when they are back up, how do I open them, I’ve never downloaded “zipped” files, what will I need to be able to play them. Thanks everyone.

July 22nd, 2006 at 2:41 pm
This site is great! I have a special affinity for eastern european and latinoamerican punk (most of which is released on tape only anyway) so I hope those overlooked bands and scenes will be appreciated here once I get around to posting…
Melly667: I have a few of the XCentric Noise tapes. “Punk Is”, “Grievous Musical Harm”, and “Raw War.”

Without trying to be condescending I would like to say to anyone it may concern, please don’t forget to check your archives before uploading them (Actions->Test). Most people I have spoken to never do, and as you might know the larger the zip (an issue here) the bigger the chance there will be a bad file or two in there. I’m greatful for the music certainly, just saying that inevitable complaints about some tracks failing to extract can be avoided.

ALL files have been checked and made sure they ALL work properly for downloaders by myself. I have put all the zipped files together myself so no worries on who uploads them they will be uploading in working condition. If you are having problems with certain zipped files please lets us know.

Even though this is a older post, I’d like to state how much of a pleasing and great thing everything involved here is doing. It’s an amazing site, the unknown recordings, bands, scenes, everything.
Kudos to all involved;
Thank-you.

i guess a better first post would be to ask if this site is still up and running? i would love to see it going (I wish i was more technically savvy also, as i would help out if i could).
June 1st, 2008 at 11:44 pm
wow… o.k. glad i found this site! thanks stunt. i will e-mail you and get you a demo by my first punk band from 1991: Orchidalgia. we were from Mollalla, OR and were doing really messed up acid influenced stuff out in the boon docks while Nirvana was pleasing the status quo sub-poppers with bleach down in the city.
anyways, i’m not saying Orchidalgia is EVEN in the same ballpark as that band… Orchidalgia means “pain in the testicles” and if there’s anybody out there who is a fan of early punk combined with the chaos of butthole surfers and the happy flowers, you just might dig this shit. so keep on the look out here for Orchidalgia (or surf for “andy warstar - previous bands” on www.thepiratebay.org you can get the torrent there)

Bless you for preserving all this stuff! Do you have any tapes from L.A. in the early to mid eighties? So many great bands (Social D., Youth Brigade, Circle Jerks, Tex & the Horseheads (remember cowpunk?), and clubs (Anticlub, Cathay de Grande, Club Lingerie) at that time.
